APPOINTMENTS
For continuity of care please request your regular GP when making an appointment.
Our doctors will do their best to stay on time, but they may run late due to complicated cases or sick patients so we ask for your patience and understanding if they are late for your scheduled appointment. If you require a longer appointment (multiple issues or complex problem) please advise reception staff when booking.You are welcome to ring ahead to discuss if they are on time.
You can book your appointment via phone or an online booking system called Hotdoc. This can be downloaded on your computer , iPad/tablet, smartphone or Android phone.
Our staff will contact. please make an appointment with your GP at the time of your test for a follow-up appointment for the result to avoid disappointment.
If you are a New Patient to the practice, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out your new patient information OR you may be able to fill this out online using the like provided to you via Hotdocs in your text message reminders. If you are unable to complete the online form you may wish to download our form HERE and email it to your practice 24 hours prior to your appointment.
We are open Monday – Friday 8-6pm and Saturdays 8-1pm.
TEST RESULTS
Please allow at least 2 days for Pathology and Radiology results to be processed and checked by your Doctor.
It is our practice policy that all test results that are not normal are followed up with a scheduled appointment with your GP. Our staff will contact you to book the appointment depending on the urgency of the result.
REPEAT SCRIPTS AND REFERRALS
All requests for repeat scripts or ongoing referrals will require an appointment with your GP.
For continuity of care, we ask that you book an appointment with your usual GP for your Referral.
FEES
FMP Medical Practice is not a bulk-billing Practice.
Standard consultation fees vary with the length, complexity, and type of consultation.
Standard fees apply to telephone/telehealth consultations.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, EFTPOS or credit card (we do not
accept American Express or Diners Club).
Your claim can be electronically transmitted to Medicare automatically so that your rebate
can be directly deposited into your bank account, if you have previously registered your
bank details with Medicare.
FMP Wollongong Towradgi and Woonona Fees
All patients who hold a current concession card, aged pension, disability pension, or
registered CTG patients will be charged at the discounted rate as below.**
All DVA card holders and children under 16 years will be bulk billed.

- It is a Medicare requirement that you present your Medicare card/DVA card at the time of each consultation.
- All procedures will incur a fee.
- There are no Medicare rebates for Pre-Employment, Insurance Medicals or commercial drivers medicals.
- Worker’s Compensation consultations are billed at WorkCover approved rates.
If you are having financial difficulties, please do not neglect your health. Discuss this with the practice manager prior to your appointment in some cases a discounted fee may be applied.

RECALLS/REMINDERS
FMP is committed to providing preventative health care and participates in government
reminder systems and registers.
If you aren’t receiving SMS reminders from the practice and would like to, please inform
reception and ensure they have your current mobile telephone number and official consent.
If you no longer wish to participate in our reminder system please discuss this with our
reception staff or your doctor.
EMERGENCY/AFTER HOURS
In the event of an Emergency please call 000 (112 from any mobile device) or present to your
nearest Hospital Emergency Department.

We are registered with the Telephone Interpreter Service for patients requiring an interpreter. Please advise reception staff when you book your appointment that an interpreter is required.
